Wyoming moves closer to re-legalizing social poker
CHEYENNE - Wyoming’s House Travel Committe approved a bill today that would allow the reintroduction of so-called “social” games to establishments such as bars and restaurants.
Such games had been legal in Wyoming until 2004 , when Wyoming Attorney General Pat Crank issued an opinion that functionally outlawed the playing of poker in establishments that would benefit from the games, even if the benefit was incidental, as in the form of increased sales.
The bill now must be passed by the full House to become law.
