Main Event Winner Settles Dispute

February 7th, 2007

World Series of Poker main event winner Jamie Gold, has settled a dispute with TV producer Bruce Cripsin Leyser over half of the $12 million grand prize. Gold defeated over 8,700 players to win the tournament in 2006 in Las Vegas.

Leyser claims Gold agreed to split the grand prize in exchange for Leyser finding celebrities to play in the main event while wearing the “Bodog” label of an offshore internet gambling website.

A signed statement released to the AP says that Leyser and Gold have resolved the matter without litigation.
