European Poker Trends

February 8th, 2007

Everest Poker has commissioned Jupiter Research to conduct the first poker-specific survey of European players. Nearly 2,000 people from France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and the Netherlands completed the online survey.

According to survey results, about 70% European players are male and a majority are between the ages of 24 and 35. The exception to this is Germany, with a majority of its players between the ages of 35 and 44. The average household income of European poker players is under 35,000 euros per year.

40% of those who completed the survey play poker online at least 4 times per month, with evenings and weekends being the most popular times to ante up.
