Trooper Ticketed During Poker Club Raid
Indianapolis police raided a poker club on the Northeast side of the city on Tuesday night. The raid was the culmination of a year long investigation into illegal gambling. Patrons pay a membership fee in addition to paying to participate in poker games. About $6,000 along with computers and flat screen TV’s was taken from the club during the raid.
30 year-old trooper Kyle Freeman was at the club during the raid and cited for unlawful gambling, a misdemeanor offense. Freeman has been placed on administrative duty and an internal investigation regarding his participation will be conducted. Three others were taken into police custordy during the raid.
