WSOP Expects 10,000 Entrants in Main Event
Organizers for the World Series of Poker Main Event say they are expecting 10,000 entrants this year. That is a small increase from last year, despit the new restrictions on online gaming that have made the WSOP more well known.
A small structure is being built beside the Rio-Casino Hotel is Las Vegas that will allow more than 3,000 players to participate in the first three days of the tournament. A high number of participants means that the grand prize would exceed the $12 million awarded in 2006.
