Gavin Griffin Wins European Poker Tour Grand Final
Gavin Griffin, a 25 year old American professional player is the champion of the 2007 European Poker Tour Grand Final, taking home $2,429,103. The final event of the EPT boasted the largest prize pool yet for a European tournament.
There were 706 international players participating in the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. Griffin, who is also the 2004 WSOP champion, started the final table with the most chips and managed to maintain that lead, even against fierce competition.
This major victory brings Griffin’s lifetime poker winnings to nearly the $3 million mark.
