WSOP Increases Stack Size
During a recent teleconference, WSOP officials revealed that there will be an increase in the size of chip stacks at WSOP events. There was mention of starting chip stacks being doubled in preliminary events and structures will also be altered.
Players in the main event will start the tournament with 20,000 chips, blinds will start at 50/100, and levels will be two hours long.
Response to the new stack size has generally been positive and players seem eager to discuss the impact it will have on play.
