Former Poker Champion Moves Due to Threats
Former WSOP Champion, Joe Hachem says concerns for his family’s safety have forced them to relocate. Hachem has received numerous threatening phone calls and letters since winning the WSOP Main Event in 2005, as his address and phone number were available to the public.
Since winning the $10 million prize, Hachem and his family divide their time between Las Vegas and Melbourne. He admits to being naive in thinking that returning to his normal life would be possible after the big victory and was unprepared for the changes that would take place.
