Poker Pro Smarter Than Fifth Grader

April 18th, 2007

Alex Outhred, one of the star instructors at the WSOP Academy, is competing for $1 million on Fox’s gameshow, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?”  The show pits adults against real fifth graders to answer fifth grade textbook questions.

“Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” debuted in March to record audience numbers and has proved that many adults should not have graduated from elementary school.

Outhred is one of few adults that has managed to stay on the show long enough to be eligible for the $1 million prize.  Though he has earned over $200,000 in career poker winnings, tomorrow night marks Outhred’s chance to become a millionaire.
