WSOP Event This Week in New Orleans

The Harrah’s Bayou Poker Challenge started this past Friday in New Orleans with a $500 buy-in no limit Hold’Em tournament.  The main event starts May 21st and goes for three days, with the final scheduled for May 23rd. 

 

The 2006 final had 170 participants and a prize pool worth $1.6 million.  Peter Feldman was the winner last year, beating professional player Gavin Smith. 

 

This year, the tournament champion will not only take home the prize money and gold WSOP ring, they will also receive a $10,000 buy-in to the WSOP Main Event.
