PartyPoker Poker Nations Cup Results
Despite the odds against them, last night team Sweden was crowned the champion of the PartyPoker Poker Nations cup. Led to victory by their captain, Bo Sehlstedt, the team walked away with $100,000. The team included WSOP braclet winners Mats Rahm and Anders Henriksson. Henriksson is receiving much of the credit for their victory, as he doubled up and wore down US team captain Robert Williamson, allowing a comeback from a major chip deficit.
Great Britian, the 2006 champions, were the favorite going into the tournament. Team members Dave Ulliot, Joe Beevers, and Ram Vaswani dominated the first few days of the cup, but could not maintain their lead.
