Poker.com Domain Purchase

May 16th, 2007

The Poker.com domain was part of a recent silent auction at the Casino Affiliate Convention, where record high prices were paid for a number of domains.

There were two bidders for Poker.com, a verbal offer for $27 million and a firm bid of $22 million. Either purchase price establishes a new record high and proves that poker popularity shows no sign of slowing down.

Currently, the identity of the purchaser is not known and complications may arise with the sale, as poker.com has a sordid ownership history going back to 1999.  Concerns over acceptable proof of ownership documentation are thought to be the source of any potential problem.
