Ante Up for Africa Tournament
Actor Don Cheadle and poker pro Annie Duke have organized the Ante Up for Africa Tournament, scheduled to begin July 5th in the WSOP tournament area at the Rio. Dozens of celebrities and sports figures will participate in the tournament in order to raise awareness about the crisis in Darfur. Tournament players will include Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, Jason Alexander, Jennifer Tilly, George Clooney, Danny Masterson, and many others.
Ante Up for Africa is a $5,000 buy-in tournament open to anyone and will be very fast paced - the tournament should be completed within five hours. Players will be asked to donate half of their prize money to the ENOUGH Project and the International Rescue Committee - organizations that raise awareness and provide aid to Darfur survivors.
