David Pham Wins Event at Mirage Poker Showdown

May 18th, 2007

Yesterday, David Pham beat Eric Froehlich to become the champion of the $5,000 buy-in event at the Mirage Poker Showdown in Las Vegas.  For his victory, Pham took home $155,200 and a seat to the WPT Championship event at the Mirage Poker Showdown that begins tomorrow.

In the first match, Froehlich took a quick lead, but ran into an unfortunate situation when he got all of Pham’s chips in the middle with pocket kings - and Pham turned over two aces.  While Froehlich actually won that match, his luck quickly ran out, as Pham dominated the next two matches.
