PokerTek to reveal automated heads-up table at WSOP

June 15th, 2007

Pokertek, a leading manufacturer of automated poker tables, announced yesterday that it will be unveiling it’s new, mass market product ‘Heads Up Challenge’ at the year’s World Series of poker during play of the main event.

Heads-Up Challenge™ World Series of Poker® Edition marks the first venture into the amusements category for PokerTek. “This product extends our reach into a large market outside the gaming space, leverages our intellectual property and maintains focus within our area of expertise, which is Poker,” said James Crawford. “The World Series of Poker brand is a powerful addition to an already amazing product, and we look forward to introducing this new game to players in bars.”

The product will be unveiled on July 5th by way of a heads up match between Phil Laak and Antonio Esfandiari in the Milwaukee’s Best No-Limit Lounge. Following the match, the tables will be exhibited in the PokerPro booth at the Gaming Life Expo for the duration of the Series.
