WSOP Europe set to be a World class event
The WSOP Europe is attracting some of the big names in poker, with over 60 bracelet winners already registered to play at the main event in London.
Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Roland De Wolfe, John Juanda, Allen Cunningham, Todd Brunson, Eli Elezra, Howard Lederer, Jamie Gold, Humberto Brenes and Jennifer Harman are among the players who have paid the £10,000 direct buy in to the tournament.
“The inaugural World Series Europe will have a world class field.” said the Commisioner for the WSOP, Jeffrey Pollack.
The first WSOP event to be held outside of North America is being hosted at three casinos operated by London Clubs International, and will take place between September 6th to 16th.
The sponsors of the event, Betfair, have reserved 125 seats for online qualifiers.
“We want to have a strong presence on the ground at this event,” said head of Poker for Betfair, Ben Fried. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our players to compete against some of the greatest in the World.”
