Playtech signs deal with PKR to supply casino games

PlaytechPlaytech Ltd announced today the formal signing of an arrangement with online poker room PKR through which Playtech will supply casino games to PKR, increasing the gaming offerings available to the 3-D poker room’s customers.

Currently, PKR offers only poker to it’s customers, but the deal with Playtech paves the road for the inclusion of a full stable of casino games.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer suggested that Playtech was up to the challenge of meeting the high graphical standards set by PKR’s poker room software. “This opens up a whole new demographic for Playtech which will now be able to enjoy our market leading casino gaming platform married seamlessly with the high quality 3D poker experience that PKR.com’s customers have come to expect.”

PKR’s plans to add casino games further shrinks the ranks of stand-alone poker rooms, with PokerStars and Full Tilt as the noticeable holdouts in the online gaming industry. Neither room has plans to add games other than poker any time in the near future.
