DOJ asks judge for extension in iMEGA lawsuit

August 14th, 2007

comp-gavel.jpgThe Department of Justice has officially requested an extension for the deadline to present their response to the lawsuit filed against them by Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association.

The request, filed with the Hon. Mary L Cooper, the presiding judge in the case, asks for an extension to respond until September 1, 2007, two weeks after the previous deadline of August 17th. There’s no word what impact, if any, the request will have on the initial court date set for the hearing, which is currently scheduled for September 4th.
