PokerStars allowing direct deposits from US bank accounts

August 23rd, 2007

PokerStars

Pokerati is reporting today that select US players are being given the option by PokerStars to make deposits directly into their PokerStars accounts from their US bank accounts with echecks - an option that essentially hasn’t been available to US players for several months now.

It seems that at the moment PokerStars is making the option available to a select number of US clients, with expansion of the service planned for the near future. The PokerStars webpage still reflects their old policy regarding echecks for US and Canadian customers. However, several US players report being greeted with a screen upon login to Stars that offered them the ability to send EFTs directly from their bank accounts into their PokerStars accounts.

The payment processing backbone for the service is apparently provided by a company called DUN Finance. Their website offers only the barest of details regarding the organization.

Daily Poker Quiz

AA on safe board, no limit full ring - DailyHandQuiz

Game type: 25/50 Full Ring Cash, PokerStars
Your image: Active, possibly a little frustrated
Opponent's image: Very aggressive preflop
Your hand: Ad Ah

The setup: You've had an uneven session so far and it's been a bit since you won a hand. This hand there's a poster in the hijack preflop. The table folds to him and he checks. You raise $200. The button folds and the SB three bets to $825. The BB and hijack fold, and you flat.

You have a good amount of history with the raiser. He is a very active three bettor and seems to have your number in recent sessions. He is very aggressive against your preflop raises, especially if there's a squeeze opportunity. He's also a pretty steady continuation bettor.

You flop about as dry as can be:

jc 2h 6d

The SB leads for $985 into $1750. What's your play?
