Play has begun for the main event of the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe. The buy in: £10,350. The game: No-limit hold’em. The time frame: Six days. Due to space restraints, the event (which isn’t expected to draw any more than 700) will be played at three locales: The Casino at The Empire, the Fifty, and the Sportsman.

Phil Hellmuth has just made a grand entrance into the Empire Casino. In true Hellmuthian fashion, although not as late as he usually is, he was flanked by no less than 11 beautiful, half naked models, each one representing one of his WSOP bracelets.
