Pamela Anderson apparently (insert some relationship type here) to / with (insert some poker player here)

September 13th, 2007

The rumor circulating on the pokernet (and the mainstream gossipnet) today is that famous-for-a-variety-of-filmed-talents celebrity Pamela Anderson is moving toward marriage, or something, number three - and this time it’s with a poker player.

The ID of the player isn’t clear at this point, but the speculation seems to have focused on Rick Solomon. Faded Youth Blog posted a picture of the two of them together, and it’s the only non-jokey response posted in the growing thread on 2+2 (best ‘hilarious guess over there: Kathy Liebert).

The news first came out on the Ellen show, which explains how poker players were left a little in the dark on this one. From Best Syndication.com:

Anderson would not say who she was going to marry but said “He’s this guy, this poker player.” She hinted that Ellen might know him, and he is famous. The relationship started when she owed him $250,000.

Instead of paying the debt off in cash, she paid it off with sex. “I paid off a poker debt with sexual favors, and I fell in love,” Pam told Ellen. “It’s so romantic.” She did not say whether she told him that she had hepatitis C.

E! Online (thanks to Wicked Chops for forcing me to visit that site. Appreciated. I stole your image as payment) offers a slightly longer quote which makes it sound less like an engagement and more like a, um, dalliance. Or something. Their version of Anderson’s ‘pamblings’:

…Then I fell in love and now we are engaged.” But on second thought, “I’m not really engaged,” she admitted. “I don’t what I am. But yeah. It worked out. I liked it…I paid off a poker debt with sexual favors and I fell in love. It’s so romantic. It’s romance.
