Pennsylvania considers adding poker

Pennsylvania Democratic House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese is pursuing in-state poker. Slots have been approved in the state for less than a year, and are not completely installed yet, but DeWeese feels the time is right to begin discussing table games.
34% of slot machine revenue goes to the state; DeWeese said he hoped the introduction of table games would enable the state to “slash drastically the amount of school property taxes that we are paying.”
School taxes have long been a cause of argument in the Quaker state.
