The convenience charge of 3-6% of buy-in will be worth it to a fair number of people who prefer not to show up early to tournaments only to stand in line with cash in their pockets, hoping to register in time to play.
Trump’s Taj Mahal is the first casino to sign up with the service, but more are already in the works, including the Venetian in Las Vegas.
The service was started by Fabricio Schaffrath, manager of a Miami graphic design studio, who got fed up with the unwieldy registration process.
