Frank comments on gambling study bill

“What’s to study? Whether or not I should be able to make my own bet with my own money?”

Though Representative Barney Frank has signed on to support the proposed bill calling for a year-long study of online gaming to be conducted by the National Academy of Sciences, he appeared dubious yesterday after a meeting with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, saying, “Studies don’t do much,” and vowing to continue with his own bill to regulate internet gaming.
