The Ivy League is turning its attention to poker. Last night, according to the daily Harvard newsletter, The Harvard Crimson, the Harvard Law School held a forum on the legality of online gambling. Called “Going All In: Poker and The Law,” the forum was moderated by Weld Professor of Law Charles R. Nesson.

The law professor’s blog offers a youtubed broadcast of last night’s forum under “USA v. Online Poker” and should have information following tomorrow’s WTO forum as well.

“It’s so much an American thing,” said Nesson of poker. “The idea that it’s illegal is offensive to me.”

Nesson and his students formed the Global Poker Strategic Thinking Societies (GPSTS), which has been an official Harvard student organization since October 1.

The GPSTS plans a panel tomorrow focusing specifically on the WTO debate between the US and Antigua.
