The Heartland Poker Tour stopped in Colorado and held the largest poker tournament ever in the state. Colorado resident Michael Haggard fell behind time and again only to pull out on top and win $129,780 from a total prize pool of $463,500.
“Wow, what can I say,†said Haggard. “It was pretty amazing. I guess you could say I got pretty lucky.â€
Of the top six, only one, from Michigan, came from outside of Colorado.
