The stakes will be increased tonight on the Game Show Network’s High Stakes Poker, as the show shifts into the nosebleed segment of its current season. While the show has always been true to the title, with hundreds of thousands of dollars in play at the televised cash game table at any given time, new conditions that are set into place beginning with tonight’s episode should ratchet up the risk (and viewer’s interest levels).

Starting with tonight’s episode, the minimum buy in to sit in the game has been raised to half a million dollars. The starting lineup that will be competing for the five million or more that’s likely to be at the table includes Patrik Antonius, Doyle Brunson, David Benyamine, Antonio Esfandiari, Barry Greenstein, Sammy Farha, Jaime Gold, Daniel Negreanu and Cirque Du Soleil founder and CEO Guy Laliberte.

GSN has the episode scheduled to run at 9 p.m. EST this evening, with repeats at 7 p.m. EST Saturday and 2 a.m. EST on Thursday.
