The inaugural Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau: Asian Poker Open, presented by PokerStars.net, crowned a champion early this morning, with Dinh Le taking home the title and nearly $225,000 in prize money. On the 105th hand played at the final table, Dinh Le and second-place finisher Ivan Tan got all the chips in preflop in a race situation. Le’s 88 held up against the A10 of Tan, bringing the historic tournament to a close.
The final table of APPT Macau was an varied combination of skill levels and backgrounds, ranging from a former WSOP main event champion - Joe Hachem - to a man who had never played a live poker tournament before - eventual champion Dinh Le.
