News sources across Colorado are reporting on the results of a 4-month investigation into alleged illegal poker games held at a poker supply store in Fort Collins today.
Josh Capadona of Front Range Poker Supply said he wasn’t involved in the games, “I paid the bills and built the tables… I don’t know what happened, but we’re basically going to shut down.” Capadona was not charged with anything, though Dustin Santino, the owner, and two other men, Troy Vernon and Michael Trujillo, were arrested on suspicion of running a poker establishment.
Summons for unlawfully engaging in gambling were issued to sixteen others, presumably participants in the Texas Hold-em games.
Poker games are legal in Colorado so long as they are purely social events and do not involve playing for profit.
