Steven Perez, of Tampa, Florida, is being held without bail and has been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery for the November slaying of Frank DeSena during a poker game holdup in New York. He has been held at the Robert N. Davoren Center since December 3, after being booked and spending one day in the Manhattan Detention Center.
According to the New York Post, Perez has admitted to being involved.
It is not clear if he is the triggerman who gunned down 55-year-old gambler Frank DeSena with a shotgun blast to the chest during the Nov. 2 holdup of a posh underground poker game near Fifth Avenue and 28th Street.
Sources said Perez was caught on video surveillance cameras participating in the fatal heist.
