Responsible Gaming code introduced to deflect “Norway UIGEA”

With the “Norway UIGEA” threatening, Expekt, Ladbrokes, Betsson and Unibet have come together to form a code of Responsible Gaming in Norway.
The code is expected to be used to keep online gaming safe, responsible, and legal in Norway. A recent study there concluded that the banning of Norwegian transfers to foreign operators, a ban proposed in part because of ethical issues with online gaming, would be more likely to lead to the introduction of a criminal element. With the adoption of the Responsible Gaming code, according to its creators, gambling would be much more likely to remain a socially responsible enterprise.
Norway currently has a gambling monopoly, Norsk Tipping.
