The Microgaming poker network (also referred to as the Prima network) released a followup statement yesterday clarifying the situation involving their decision to terminate the licenses of nearly 30 Microgaming network skins earlier this week, including well-known rooms such as Battlefield Poker, Red Nines, and others.

The skins in question were all under the banner of the Tusk Investment Corporation Limited. Tusk apparently notified Microgaming last week that the company was planning to liquidate, resulting in the immediate removal of Tusk-owned rooms from the network. Players holding accounts at Tusk-owned rooms are now in a bit of a limbo while Microgaming works for a resolution of the situation.

Read Microgaming’s first statement here. The new statement from Microgaming:

“Following the termination of the software license with Tusk Investment Corporation Limited (Tusk), players are understandably experiencing frustration with the lack of information about their accounts with Tusk.

“Microgaming has unfortunately heard nothing further from Tusk itself, and has yet to be advised of the details of the appointment of a liquidator for Tusk. Until a liquidator advises on Tusk’s financial position and ability to pay players and to pay Tusk’s white labels and affiliates, Microgaming is unable to assess the situation.

“This position is quite separate from the Microgaming Poker Network as a whole, which continues to operate as before. Microgaming will of course continue to keep people informed as the situation unfolds.”
