Harrah’s has announced the dates for the second World Series of Poker Europe, which will be held September 19 to October 1 in London, England.

Last year was the inaugural event, and the London Clubs International will host the events again at three different locations. This year’s sponsor is Betfair.

According to pokerpages.com:

“Last year produced a fantastic tournament which exceeded all expectations,” said David Yu, CEO, Betfair. “Online qualification for the 2008 event is already underway so we’re expecting an even better contest this time around.”

“We look forward to again serving as hosts for this prestigious event,” said Michael Silberling, COO, London Clubs International. “A first class tournament at our first class properties promises to bring out the best poker players in the world.”

Whole thing here.

In last year’s main event, Norway’s Annette Obrestad won the first prize of more than $2 million.

The schedule of the tournaments for this year has not yet been finalized.
