Star-studded field expected for WSOP ladies’ event

A group of women called the Queens of Heart will again play in the World Series of Poker’s $1,000 buyin Ladies World Championship, and the group is sending some big stars for this year’s event.
In its third year in the WSOP, the Queens of Heart helps to raise funds for the Nevada Cancer Institute.
According to Bluff Magazine:
This year’s team will include Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher, Cheryl Hines, Joely Fisher and country music recording artist Mindy McCready. Joining the celebrities will be Pamela Brunson, daughter of Doyle Brunson, Clonie Gowen, Barbara Enright and last year’s champion Sally Ann Boyer.
“This event has grown remarkably over the last five years and is now one of the most anticipated events of the 55-event World Series of Poker,” said Jeffrey Pollack, WSOP commissioner. “With leadership from the Queens of Heart for the third year in a row, we’re confident the atmosphere and play will be fun and exciting.”
