Several pros who have been considered to be among the best without a World Series of Poker bracelet have left that club by winning a bracelet this year. The latest to do so was J.C. Tran, who won Event No. 49, a $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event.
He won $631,170 for the victory.
Tran had been to six different WSOP final tables previously without a win, including a pair in 2008.
Two events are scheduled to wrap up today. Event No. 51, $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. narrowed the field to 21 players with Phil Hellmuth leading in chips heading into today. Also today, Event No. 50, the $10,000 World Championship of Pot-Limit Omaha $10,000 will finish, Michael ‘the Grinder’ the chip leader at the final table.
