Some big names fell on the second “first day” of the World Series of Poker, Day 1b, as Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu, Lee Watkinson, Ted Forrest and Kenny Tran were among those eliminated.
At the start of the day, 1,157 players were entered, but only 621 survived. Ben Sarnoff leads all players with 177,500 chips. Robert Mizrachi, brother of Michael, is in the top 10 in chips. WSOP Player of the Year Erick Lindgren, playing at ESPN’s featured table, was in the top 20 with 93,325.
The survivors from Day 1a and 1b will continue play on Tuesday. Mark Garner, the leader of Day 1a, is the current overall chip leader with 194,900.
