Olympic legend in the making Michael Phelps may look to leave a mark in another arena sooner than later: the poker world. That’s the word from Phelps following his historic performance at the Beijing Olympics.
Phelps had this to say about poker in an interview with the Baltimore Sun:
“I think it would be cool to play in the World Series of Poker,” Phelps said. “My game is a little off right now, so I’ll have to start improving it a little bit. But I think that would be cool, and it would be cool to meet some of those poker guys.”
Phelps is rumored to play on PokerStars and FTP, focusing mostly on midlevel cash games and tournaments. There hasn’t been a public confirmation of Michael Phelp’s screen names on either Poker Stars or Full Tilt Poker as of yet.
