The three largest pots ever played in online poker are believe to have been played yesterday.

For two years, the largest online pot in a poker game was played in 2006 on Ladbrokes, a $465,451 pot won won by “Fast_Freddie” (Mohammad Kowssarie) against “bad_ip” (Johnny Lodden) according to pokerkingblog.com.

No pot that big had been played in two years, until three pots surpassed it on Wednesday. According to the blog:

One pot was $476,305, one was $474,949 and the biggest was $499,037. All three of the pots involved Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The action took place on the “RailHeaven” table on Full Tilt Poker. This is the $500/$1000 No Limit Hold’em game that sometimes runs on the site.

Dwan ended up winning two of the three pots. But he lost the largest of them to Peter W Jepsen, who had flopped a straight with 6-9 offsuit.
