It was only fitting that the final two players at the final table of No. 50, a $1.5K limit hold’em shootout event, had already won bracelets at this World Series of Poker in limit hold’em.

In the end, it was Full Tilt pro Greg “FBT” Mueller taking his second career bracelet and his second of the month by beating Marc Naalden heads-up. David Williams (second in 2004 main event, and one bracelet) was also in the mix for a second bracelet, but finished third.

Here were the payouts:
1. Greg ‘FBT’ Mueller - $194,854
2. Marc Naalden - $120,614
3. David Williams - $77,138
4. Millie Shiu - $51,145
5. Matthew Sterling - $35,058
6. Flaminio Malaguti - $24,824
7. Joep Van Den Bijgaart - $18,136
8. Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero - $13,655

Continuing into its third day was Event No. 49, the $50K World Championship H.O.R.S.E. tourney. From the original 95 players, just 19 remain. The field of players left is, not shockingly, world-class. Vitaly Lunkin is the chip leader and is in search of his third bracelet, and his second of this WSOP. He’s already had a big 2009, with a win in the $40K buyin event for nearly $1.9 million. He was also second in the $10K pot-limit Omaha event.

Also still alive: 2007 $50K HORSE champ Freddy Deeb; David Chiu, who has four bracelets; Chau Giang, who has three; Erik Seidel, in search of a ninth bracelet; former main event champion Huck Seed (four bracelets); Ville Wahlbeck and John Kabbaj, who both already have one bracelet at this WSOP; Gus Hansen, who is still in search of his first bracelet; and former bracelet winners Mike Wattel and Steve Billirakis and Todd Brunson.

Updates here.

Continuing into its second day was No. 51, a $1.5K no-limit hold’em tourney. Just 30 players will be back today to play for a piece of the nearly $3.8 million in prize money. Among the players left is Alex Jacob, who has a U.S. poker championship and nearly $2.5M in live cashes.

Two events started Sunday: No. 52, a $3K triple chance no-limit hold’em event, and No. 53, a $1.5K seven card stud hi-low-8 or better tourney.

The triple chance tourney gives players a chance to get extra chips at any time without a rebuy — they are given a third of their chips at the start and can use two buttons to get another third at any point during the first few levels of the tournament. The event started with 854, and just 153 remain. Jeffrey Lisandro is among those with healthy stacks — he’s already won three bracelets at this WSOP.

No. 53 has a relatively small prize pool of just over $650K. Marcel Luske, Daniel Negreanu, Annie Duke, Max Pescatori and Jon “pearljammer” Turner are all still alive.

There are just a few events left before the main event, but starting today are No. 54, a $1.5K NLHE tourney, and No. 55, a $2.5K 2-7 triple draw lowball (limit) tourney.
