Full Tilt Poker Releases Major Software Upgrade

Full Tilt Poker released a major software upgrade this morning that includes long-requested upgrades, a new-look lobby and a significant bonus offer for current players.

First, the lobby. FTP has expanded the size of the lobby, brightened things up a bit, and carved out significantly more space for bonus and new announcements. Players can still opt to use the classic lobby for now, as the new view is still in beta mode. Screenshot:

Next, the features. The big one: sortable cash games, a feature players have been clamoring for over the last year or two. The filters are easy to use and available in either a quick-click preformat or as a custom filter set by the player.

The second massive improvement: deal-making in tournaments. FTP now offers automated final table deal making: players can choose between a ICM split, a chip chop, or a custom deal negotiated by players. It apparently won’t be necessary to wait for a host (ala PokerStars) to negotiate and complete the deal.

The third upgrade: Login PIN. FTP has been promising increased log in security for a bit now, and it’s nice to see them deliver. It’s basically a second password for your account, and it can be set by accessing the Security menu in your FTP lobby.

Then there’s the bonus. FTP is marketing it as the Biggest Bonus Ever, and while that might be a stretch, it looks pretty solid for players who can take advantage of it. Conditions: You must have earned at least one Full Tilt Point before July 28th. If you meet that condition, then log in to FTP, open your cashier and click on ‘My Promotions’.
