It’s been nearly a year since 60 Minutes ran a feature piece on the cheating scandals over at Ultimate Bet Poker and Absolute Poker. While the dust on those stories seems to have settled (somewhat) in the poker community, it appears that the mainstream media may be preparing to take another crack at the story.

That’s according to Todd Witteles, who was interviewed for the original story. Witteles, a poker pro and co-founder of the popular poker forum neverwin.com, posted the following in a thread over at Neverwin earlier this week: “I have just been informed by a very reliable source that a second major television program is going to expose the AP/UB scandal in an upcoming episode. Most of you remember the “60 Minutes” episode from November, which I was a part of. This should air before the end of the year.”

The timing of the story is interesting, insomuch that it comes at a point when online poker seems to be gaining legislative momentum.
