Ansky Leaving Poker Savvy Plus

Tough news for one of the top poker training sites today, as instructor Dani ‘Ansky’ Stern announced that he was leaving Poker Savvy+.
Stern made the announcement on his blog and didn’t cite any specific reasons for the split nor spill the beans regarding his plans for the future: “For the last 2 years I have made instructional videos and written articles for PokerSavvy+. I’ve made good relationships with the company, and thoroughly enjoyed both my work with PokerSavvy, as well as the community that has supported me over this time. However, the launch of my new TV show has opened up some new promotional opportunities for me that make staying at PokerSavvy impossible right now. As such, I’ve decided I need to move on to pursue those opportunities.”
The new TV show Stern refers to is 2 Months, 2 Million, a reality show where four poker players live in a rented Vegas mansion for two months and attempt to win two million bucks.
While he doesn’t make it clear where he’s headed next, the most natural explanation would be that Stern is leaving for a competing training site, as it’s difficult to imagine what other opportunity would make staying at PokerSavvy+ “impossible”. That said, it’s hard to imagine a site that would have the budget to pull Stern away besides Cardrunners, and they’re already pretty flush with cash game instructors. Early money is on DeucesCracked given the 2M2MM connection.
