Poker Pro Patrik Antonius Has a Stalker?

Poker pro Patrik Antonius is having a summer worthy of a post in the BBV section of 2+2. Brag: He recently took back the lead in the durrrr challenge with a week where he was up 700k+. Beat: He’s apparently being stalked by someone posing as him on Twitter. Variance: The stalker is pissing off Doyle by posting trash talk on said account.

While details are a little fuzzy, here’s the cliffs: a Twitter account with the name patrik_antonius posted a bunch of updates this summer. Not a big deal - celebrities have to deal with fake Facebook and Twitter accounts all the time. The odd part - the posts from the fake Patrik mirrored the actions of the real one to the point where someone had to actually be in fairly close proximity to Patrik to pull it off.

The posts in question include some minor trash talking to Doyle - “@TexDolly i bluffed you all night doyle. how would you know what it is and i have no idea?” - and some random posts, including the last entry on August 11th: “who honestly watches the teen choice awards?”, but it was enough to compel Antonius to release a statement on coinflop.com.

“Someone has registered a Twitter account using my name and now he’s posting stuff like it’s written by me,” Patrik told Coniflip.com. “He’s been following me pretty closely and knows what I’ve been doing, so one might think they are actually written by me. Doyle was offended because he thought I had written something like, ‘I played with Doyle last night and beat him easily.’ I had actually played with Doyle and durrrr the previous night at Bobby’s Room, and the guy knew that. Supposedly I had written that Doyle is becoming senile and he’s no match to me anymore, so understandably he was not happy about it.”

The fake twitter account has 2,407 followers.
